    BaZi Chart Calculator

Builds an approximate BaZi reference chart using sexagenary stem-branch cycles, a solar-year boundary approximation, and timezone-aware local birth inputs.

Results are cultural and religious reference information. They are not guaranteed fortune-telling and are not professional feng shui, medical, legal, financial, safety, or immigration advice.
Almanac pages, brush pen, and red thread arranged for BaZi chart calculation.

    Use the tool

Fill in only the planning details needed for this calculation. Do not enter private medical, financial, legal, or identification data.

    Methodology

    How this tool works

The calculator treats the entered birth date and time as local, uses the timezone for Chinese-calendar year context, and applies a February 4 solar-year approximation, fixed solar-month boundaries, a known sexagenary-day anchor, and two-hour earthly-branch periods.

    Cultural variation notes

    • Some practitioners calculate the year pillar from Li Chun rather than Lunar New Year.
    • Birth certificates, hospital records, daylight saving time, and local longitude can change a professional chart.
    • Different schools weigh hidden stems, ten gods, luck pillars, and useful elements differently.

    FAQ

    Frequently asked questions

Is this a professional BaZi reading?

No. It is a reference calculator for pillars and elements. A practitioner may refine the chart with exact solar terms, birthplace longitude, and school-specific rules.

    Why does timezone matter?

Enter the timezone where the birth occurred. This reference treats the entered date and time as local and uses the timezone for Chinese-calendar year context; it does not apply birthplace longitude correction.

Can I use an unknown birth time?

You can test a best estimate, but the hour pillar will be uncertain. Mark the result as approximate when sharing it.
